Hi Applerose,
You could try a mix of lavender and tea tree oils. Lavender is a natural rememdy that can be used neat on skin, I would recommend a couple of drops on a tissue or cotton wool and dab it on. It will smell a bit strong but it works quite well. If you have the spots already, tea tree mixed with it (remember to dilute it a little with a bit of sweet almond oil first though, as it can cause a rash otherwise) can help as the tea tree destroys the oil which causes them and it will effectively neutralise the spot in the process.
But there is no fool proof way to get rid of them unfortunately. But I hope this helps.

well applerose i have the same problem but mine come in waves there clearing up then i get a load then they clear up then i get a load more the trick to it is see what causes your spots alot of people say chocolate or stress and not washing but i feel people are different some it is food and some stress. when you wash with the products it cases your skin to feel tight because its drying it out to dry out the bacteria and that in the spot if your not a fan of that try washing with a gentle soap and as it is lovely and sunny (at least here anyway )i would recommend going out in the sun to help dry the spots up but don't stay there too long you kno melanoma and all. I could also suggest meditating with a rose quarts crystal on your face or leaving it in a bowl of water and washing with the water i haven't tried these continuously so its rather experimental. Blessed Be I hope i helped a little in that essay lol. BMW

Just had a thought here, how old are you? the reason I ask is I had a spot of bother with spots 2 years ago (no pun intended) and I am no youngster, it took antibiotics to clear them as it was something called Rosacea Quote:If you suffer from frequent flare-ups and the annoying redness and blotchiness associated with Rosacea, don’t wait any longer. Rosacea is a skin condition that must be kept under control to prevent it from spreading and getting worse. I tried just about everything, then in desperation went to my GP, I started off with an antibiotic cream to put on at night, then had tablets, I am pleased to say, it hasn't come back. www.livingspirits.co.uk

i am 15, nearly 16 and would love my skin to look good for prom! i have recently found out that my spots may be related to the food i was eating. i used to eat junk basically. not tons of it, but not much healthy food either. so i cut out crisps and sweets and replaced them with cereal and apples, and it got better! then it was easter break, and i sort of drifted away in chocolate...:S but anyway, thankyou for replying and will definetly try the rose quartz in water. also, i dont think it is rosacea as my mum had it. thankyou all for your kind an quick replies! will let you know how everyting turns out!

Using a scrub every night could help clear your skin. Here's a homemade one I've found.
Strawberry Almond Scrub
Strawberries have natural astringent properties that tighten your pores, and leave your face feeling toned and fresh.
2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp ground almond 1 ripe strawberry (if fresh strawberries aren't available, it's ok to use thawed, frozen berries)
Mix the almonds and soda together in a small dish. Slice the strawberry into the bowl and mash it all together to make a smooth paste. Apply.
To Apply: 1. First splash your face with warm water (never hot). 2. Scoop the scrub onto your fingers and work it all over your face using gentle circular motions. Never press hard or tug on your skin. Avoid your eye area. 3. Rinse your face with warm water then pat it dry with a clean, soft towel.
Honey is also excellent for drawing out impuraties. It also contains a large amount of potassium, giving it antibacterial properties.
For serious cases, try a complete facial mask of pure honey, rather than just a spot treatment.
Soak a cotton ball in warm salt water; press on the blemish for three minutes to help dissolve the top. Dab a bit of honey on the affected area to deep-clean the pore and draw out any bacteria. Let sit for ten to 15 minutes. Clean the face with normal cleanser; then rinse the skin well with warm water, then cool water. Pat the skin dry.
There you go, natural remedies conquer all. In your face Superdrug, Boots and every pharmacy that has failed me and my skin!
