Hi just going to ask what was your first spell? and what would you say would be the best spell to start with.

well if you have a BoS i suggest your first is a book blessing spell as its a positive spell and its simple. i honestly cannot remember my first spell it was that long ago but i think i might of tried to bite of something to big to chew and it wasn't successful.

I'm of the opinion that spells should be worked according to need, not curiosity. Are there any opportunities you would like, such as a new love (for the sake of the Gods not anyone specific, I'm sure you know basic morals, free will and all that ;) ) or an opportunity to earn money? Or maybe you'd like to do a protection spell for your family, your home/car, or a pet.

Either way, I'd actually suggest writing your own spells. Get ideas and inspiration from books, certainly, but make the spell your own.

My first was a simple protection spell. They're probably a good thing to start with as you'll be keeping yourself safe at the same time as practising casting.
