hi all and bleeesed be to you all.
I recently went to see a medium . she told me to take something along with me that belonged to the person that had passed on ie photo jewellery etc.
all i had at short notice was a photo. it was evident that she was doing alot of guess work and she kept looking at me as if to find answers from me ( so i tried to limit what i said to her).
Fortunantely for me, the person that passed on was very dear to me and i miss her so much. i did in fact cope well. but theres people out there who are desperate to contact a loved one and people like 'this women' could ruin lives.
im not here to say mediums are a bad thing. ( i do still believe) i just feel a bit silly paying £25 for nothing.
how does htat women live with her self? any advice for me on this will be vry appriciated.
mel

Your absolutely right there are people out there who see this sort of activity as a way of making money from people who are actually desparate for help and I place these people in the category of loweset of the low. However, you shouldn't think all experiences are the same and I believe there are people out there who have a genuine ability to contact your loved ones . I have to say I'm usually a plain and simple sceptic - trust no-one, believe nothing I don't see with my own eyes that sort of thing. However, I have had the occasional experience which makes me think there is more to it than meets the eye.

3 or 4 years back, my wifes mother died from breast Cancer and her last few month had been plagued with petty family squabling (which her mother hated). This sort of thing often develops with long illnesses in the family. Anway, as a result, my poor wife couldn't see as much of her mum towards the end as she would have liked and felt a terrible sense of loss once it was all over. She somehow felt it was all her fault and that her mother would never forgive her.

About a year later, when the pain had subsided a little, she desparately wanted to contact her mum to try and to seek some form of closure (she loved her dearly). Now her mum was a very religious lady (Methodist) so my wife decided perhaps a visit to a spiritualist church she'd heard of might at least provide some comfort. Not being religious at all, I didn't want to go but my son went along. They turned up at the appointed time of service and found a seat near the back and just sat quietly not knowing what to expect.

A short service started with some singing and the hairs on the back of my wifes neck stood to attention - one of her mothers favourite hymns but even more spook a lady somewhere behind sing with what sounded like her mums voice. Well that was quite a scare, but a short while later during the 'psychic' part of the services, various messages were coming through for members of the congregation. My wife and son weren't taking too much notice until all head turned to my wife who looked up startled to realise the psychic was talking to her saying "I have a lady here who is trying to contact you. She is very nervous and is rubbing the ring finger of her left hand". This was something that my wifes mother always did when nervous (playing with her wedding ring) and there is absolutely no way that anyone in that hall of strangers could possibly have known that. To cut a long story a bit shorter, she was given a message that was undoubtedly from her mum and she came home with peace in her heart.

So, yes, there are an awful lot of Charlatans out there but there are also some very geniune psychics (who often only charge a very small fee to cover expenses if anything). Ask around, before paying out good money.

Hope that helps.
