The matter of the ouija board is a complex one, far too complex to fully explain here. One of the main reasons the board is considered a danger is because if used without conducting any form of protection i.e. banishing ritual then the participants are left open to hostile forces. One should remember that trusting a spirit is a foolish endevour as like those in the physical they can lie and deceive. Some people can become addicted to using the board and this should be avoided at all costs as the addicted person can form energetic bonds to the spirits thus leving them susceptible to spirit obsession and possession. The information gathered from such devices is usually incorrect or misleading therefore when some information is gathered that is correct people then begin to trust what it says. Reeled in like a fish on a hook you might say. My advice to you is not to dabble or thrill seek in areas that you do not understand. You would not play with explosives if you did not know what you are doing, so the same applies here. I myself have recieved extensive and long winded training in these areas and can say from my experiences that such things are not for the novice or inexperienced.

There is no such thing as a "darker side" to the craft. Ouija is not a "Wiccan" or "Pagan" activity. That is not to say that Wiccans and Pagans cannot participate but it has nothing to do with their religion.

Ouija being "bad" is a matter of opinion. I do not do it myself, but my point is that some people don't like it, others do. Somebody who does it is only bad in the eyes of someone who is against it.

Who said that you are "not supposed to" contact spirits? again, that is a matter of opinion, you need to mae decisions for yourself rather than doing what others tell you that you should and should not do.

As for if and why we have Mediums, who knows? Nobody can give you an answer to that, and this goes back to what I said about opinions, if we were "not supposed" to do something, it would not be possible to do so.

As for why you are drawn to her? That is also a matter of opinion, perhaps you are fascinated by her because she is unusual and as you say: "bad" some people are drawn to that kind of person. Others may suggest that she has cast a spell on you or something. Who knows?

May I ask what she has done to be "bad", as well as what you mean by things not ending nicely when you meet her? Are you saying that she is bad because she does Ouija?

Ouija is nowhere near as bad as your English. Sounds like you've been on the spirits as opposed to contacting them!!!!!

I heard an analogy about ouja boards that I always thought was quite good:

Having a seance is like having a party. You send your invites, your friends/acquaintances turn up, anyone unknown at the door gets checked out before they come in, generally a good time had by all.

Using a ouja board is like having a party. You throw the front door wide open, and put a big sign above it saying "everyone welcome"; sooner or later you'll get some dodgy types turning up and it will be hard to get rid of them; not quite such a good time ...

I know this is a huge generalisation, but I think it does sum up the risks quite well.

Fortunately I havn't had teh experience of using a Ouija board, probably becasue i have hear bad things happening to inexperienced peopl using them, but as i have read in other responses on here i guess it all depends on how you use it and to what extent your expertise goes. I do agree with having to put a protection shield around you to keep teh negative spririts out, but I suppose unless you know what you are doing , I personnaly suggest not to tamper with htings you know nothing about.
