Hi,

I've written a few Books of Shadows, and I'm finishing off my last one with everything sort of summed up and organised, as the other 3 were just random stuff I've picked up noted down lol! But my 4th is like everything organised and sorted out

The ones I use are shop bought blank ones, black with book of shadows in gold on them, though my 4th has silver writing and a silver pentacle on the front

As for what goes into a BoS, basic rituals are a good start, like circle casting etc etc, any spells you like the look of and want to try out, any notes on things you've found around and about, and records of any spells you've tried, whether they worked, how you felt afterwards, whether your dreams changed after a spell etc etc

You can easily make it your own. Put pictures / photos that you like in it, poems, song lyrics, recipes, blessings, spells, dreams that you've had, prayers, art work, you could also use it as a diary if you like, just write your thoughts and feelings in it if you like. There is no rule as far as these books go...just put what you like in it...put things in it that are magical to you. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as it's special to you. =) It's what I do with mine anyway. =) x

i actually have 4 different ones i have one containing spells one containing anything to do with herbs like incense and teas ect one to write down when i cast a spell a thought for a spell and meditation ect and another one to write down things like correspondences with the sun and moon days of the week and the sabbats so it dosnt matter if u have one that houses everything or separate ones like me because i just see it as a extension of my memory if i carnt remember something i have it one of my books
