Hi, sorry if my title isnt the right term to use.
I have been having the most terrible time im my life, really really bad. I have nobody to turn to and i really felt the need to maybe ask someone to perform some spells for me. I have always been interested in this but don't know enough about it myself.
I have NO idea where i would start to look for someone qualified to help me, is there websites or groups ? Im in Southampton. If anyone had any idea how i would start to look for someone in my area i would be really grateful.

Be very careful approaching groups or individuals as in my experience there are a lot of people in this field who are willing to prey on the vulnerable in order to exploit them for money or other unsavoury things. It is also important to realise that magic offers no quick fix solution to problems in life. I work in the field of mental health and come across people everyday who are suffering the most terrible events due to fates cruel hand. It is sometimes tempting to give them a magical helping hand, however it must be understood that some events in peoples lives happen for a reason, no matter how cruel the event may seem. Every experience in life offers us the opportunity to grow and become more well rounded beings. A magical solution can help skip round some problems which can help you in the short term, however by avoiding some of these nasty scenarios we prevent ourselves from experiencing some important life lessons thus robbing ourselves of the knowledge and experience. Also if the experience is meant to happen in your life then the spells etc may not work anyway. I was taught that we can pray and try and coerce the divine as much as we like but sometimes the divine can always say no. This may seem harsh but for reasons unbeknown to us there are some things in life that must happen that go way beyond our understanding. Always look for the mundane solution first, the force we call magic is only as potent as the person who uses it and there are many charlatans out there. I think it is Sturgeons Law that states 90% of everything is rubbish, the field of magic is no exception. Have faith and trust in divinity, nothing happens by accident and everything no matter how terrible even murder or illness has a 'silver lining', a little piece of knowledge that lies waiting to be discovered. If you wish you may before going to sleep ask god, the divine whatever you want to call it for help understanding your predicament, you may be surprised at the response you get.

Simple answer here: A spell will not fix your problems, and no self-respecting wiccan would just do a spell for you. I'm sorry I just think that it's not something you should persue. You need to sort out the material and physical things in your life yourself, or seek professional help (as in mental health professionals or finacial advisors, etc).

As you are from Southampton.maybe a trip out to the New Forest to the village of Burley may be an introduction you are looking for to help you....it may be that the difficult time you have been experiencing is for a reason to sway you to your intended path....Burley has strong connections with Wicca and you will find several "witchy" shops and of course information on local people who may be able to point you in right direction......

spells dont fix problems, its true but dnt worry study wicca and maybe your find your divine instinct. To do casting yourself is easy read any book by cassandra eason or fiona horne or christopher penzak these authors are amazing and will lead you to spells which will change your life. I note with interest that several people have told you that a spell won't help. This is not so, although you need to pursue all 'mundane' methods of sorting out your life first. This means trying non-magick first and then, should you need more help, go for the magickal solution. I am in Honiton but you don't need to 'find' a Wiccan to help you (not all Wiccans are witches and not all witches are Wiccan). The best way to find someone that can help is to seek recommendation. Once you need some magick you may find that you are naturally drawn towards the same thinking people and discussion will lead to them knowing someone.... I wish you well and, should you need to contact someone for advice I can be contacted on gillb@gillb.plus.com - I have been a practising witch for over 20 years and can provide you with references from people I've helped. However, I hope that since you posted this question things have started to move in the right direction again. Blessed Be.

i just wanted to add that you could maybe see a medium, or a clairevoyant with tarot cards, plamistry, crystal balls etc, that might help you find out what you want to do.

well Ive studied european wytchcraft for 14yrs now, after being a devout christian, and to be hon est it hasnt helped me at all. I was ok before, and now Im not, I dont think its the be all and end all in life, I agree, u have to work out your own problems.... Going into The Craft wont help your problems get any the less, in fact they couldm get 10000 times worse.
if your assailed from all directions, I agree, a walk ini the pinewood forests, hug a tree, get outside as much as possible, talk to the air, wind, revel in all the weather, study clouds, wychcraft is all about honouring mother Nature, not about spells.
its like when I had lost someone through a death I went to a spiritualist medium she said lots of stuff, and taped it, it cost me an arma dna leg, but it didnt make me feel any better, i still ahd to come to terms with my loss...
This life is a learning ground, look at everything life throws u as a lesson..... and thena sk yourself, why are these things happening to me? It is a lesson, on how u react, teach yourself not to react in a negative way,an eye for an eye, is ok, in some countries, but over here in UK it wont work!Yu will end up in prison, if u go by that line, so each time something bad happens, work out, why, and then attend to it, put it right, do something positive..... badluck folows me around, some would say Im a HW but Im not.... treehee. Im a follower of the odl ways, be they from durope, america, australia, africa, and our stone age ancestors...
Live ur life to the full, and learn from the downs as well as the ups.... that builds character. Ignore quick fix solutions, as in spells, etc etc, also Ive had no end of tarot cards read for me, none ever were true, so why was that, I parted with a lot of money too over the years!Take it all in the spirit of the goddess and god, that is balance....athenasowl.....mysticmoon.
