Seeing animals repeatedly around you my not be an indication that they are your totem animal. They can however be symbolic of aspects of your life that you need to pay attention to, or symbols of future events. Concerning spiders it can depend on the species however generally spiders have poor vision thus requiring them to focus on their sense of touch. Perhaps you need to focus on following your instict and feeling at the moment rather than your head. Spiders are also a lunar and female symbol associated with weaving human destiny and therefore symbols of divination. Spiders can be associated with wealth, good luck and coming rain. A spider descending on its web can also be a sign of the bringing of heavenly gifts. If you are keen to find what your animal totem is then it would be wise to engage on a shamanic journey to find the answer. The process is fairly lenghthy and I couldnt do it justice by writing the instruction so briefly here. If you are familiar with a pathworking meditation the journey is very similar. I recommend The Way of the Shaman by Michael Harner for full instruction on the process. Your animal totem may not be what you are expecting. Good luck in your search.
