Sable, I'm wondering if maybe you can help me. It will probably seem a little off to ask this on a website devoted to the craft, but I'm only asking about your ease of speaking Latin.

I study languages as a hobby and I'm finding it a hard job to find anywhere that teaches Latin and it's a language I adore. It's got so many links in England's history.

Where did you learn? Or were you one of the lucky one's who got taught at school before the government stopped it?

Any info would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Dusty angel...Latin can be self taught, but you will need a book that gives you phonetic back up as some words are pronounced very strangely. My Latin is very poor, but it is nice to use it, and you must study hard. Latin is all around us and we use many words without even knowing. If you can find a teacher, then this will be your best option. i would like to say i could teach you, but you would not learn much from me. Good luck and bless you......SABLE

Dusty angel, I have no idea where you are but I do know that the Open University has two courses in Latin. You don't have to link them to a degree or anything, and from my experience with the OU, their materials are of excellent quality.
