Hi everyone! I haven't left a message on here for months, so just thought I would leave you all a quick note to let you know whats going on :) I have recently started my uni degree in vet nursing, which will last 4 years, and have moved to London to be near uni. But I'm coming home for christmas for the next year! I can't wait as I really miss home and can't wait to get back! I also have to do a couple of presentations in front of my whole class, and was just wondering if anyone had any tips as I am petrified!!! How is everyone else? Brightest Blessings, Love and Light )O(

Good luck in your degree! I've just moved out of London up to Peterborough. For your presentation, I guess my best advice is practice, practice, practice. Then, when you're done practicing, practice a little bit more. If you can, do practice to a friend, or failing that practice in front of a mirror. I've found that things that might seem easy to say on paper trip may trip you up when your speaking it. I'm sure you'll do great though, we always torture ourselves before these things then they turn out great. Best of luck!! Pagan Dreams Team Memberwww.pagandreams.co.uk

Greetings Applerose, I can imagine how you're feeling - presentations are amongst my least favourite things to have to do In addition to the excellent advice to practise, practise, practise, I'd suggest that visual aids, such as a flow chart, will help to take the focus off you and onto what you're saying. Also, remember that your audience will feel awkward and embarrassed on your behalf if that's how you are acting. Easier said than done, I know, but try to focus just behind the back row to an imaginery, or actual but not present friend, and address your presentation to him or her; just as you would if the two of you were alone. I'm sure you will do well - the anticipation is always worse than the reality. )O(

Glad to hear you're ok, but also would advise practice your presentation. If you're using powerpoint, have a couple of trial runs with a friend, also have some pointers written down on a piece of paper or cards so you can keep your flow, and get back on track if you digress! Remember that everyone who has to do this will be nervous, so they'll be able to empathise with you, and also that you're talking about a subject that they're interested in, so it's easier to keep their attention ( try doing a parentcraft class in the searing heat of a hospital with pregnant women who keep falling asleep! ), also you'll be talking about something you know about and that alone will bring you confidence! There is always someone in the group who will manage to make themselves look bored/uninterested/dead, ignore them and focus on the ones who are concentrating, we know you'll do fine! Fingers crossed for you, BBx

Greetings applerose I hope you enjou London and completign your degree Ditto about ensuring that you practise lots but also, remember to have timeout from the busy London pace, ground yourself or clear your chakras so that you don't pick up on other peoples energies BB

merry meet Applerose,
I gotta agree with Paul that you need to practice your presentation. another couple of tips are:
1) Breath and take it slow 2) If feeling nervous about eye contact look at either peoples foreheads 3)stand straight, don't slouch as it kills your voice! 4) Practice, practice
hope it all goes well my friend :)
Blessings )O( x
