Merry Meet, Merry Greet. I am a new Wiccan but sadly have ground to a halt in learning more as I haven't got many resources. I am 13 and really need help! Blessed Be.

Greetings, little one, you have found yourself a good source of information and advice merely by reaching a forum such as this, but if I may say so, please do not be offended, I have a daughter the same age as you, and I would be concerned if she was using a forum to ask advice of strangers. I understand that you have a limited access to information in the way of books, but a considered approach to discussing this with your parents, showing that you have a mature interest in an Earth-orientated religion like Wicca, may enable them to invest in some texts that would aid your progress. Also, with Christmas on the way, perhaps a few books may find their way into your stocking?! There is much to read on the web, but be wary, not all websites have clear reliable information, you have to be able to sift! I would recommend however that Children of Artemis have a teen-only forum, this may be a good start on discussing thoughts and ideas with like-minded people of a similar age and at a similar stage on the path. What about your local library? They may not have any books specifically on Wicca, but they may have books on New Age philosophies that will contain useful information- it may be worthwhile popping along with your Mum or Dad and seeing what they think, and how they may help you in you quest. Good luck, BBx

Merry meet and blessed be, EmmiH!
Can I ask whether your parents are aware of your interest? And will you be doing most of your research and study online or do you have access to books as well? Are you interested in the Gods, pagan religion in general, Wicca specifically, or just magic?
For extra interests, did you want to learn more about herbs, crystals, the Tarot, Norse/Witches' runes, scrying/other divination?
Sorry for all the questions, but having a better idea of what you're interested in means I can tailor a recommendations list to suit your interests and tastes, rather than just throwing a list of websites/books at you that might not be what you're looking for at all!

Greetings, little one from me too, Lady Lustre has posted some excellent advice for you, plus, the Children of Artemis would indeed be a good place to start. You are very young, so don't be in too much of a hurry, that's not what it is all about, take your time and see where the Ancients lead you, no need for serious decisions at such a tender age. www.livingspirits.co.uk

Greetings my Young Friend, I like you found Wicca early(I was 14yrs old) well 32yrs later and I still follow the loving path. It is wonderful that Wiccan has such an interest in the new generation, after all we are always learning and so must you. My advice is take it slow, appreciate whats around you- as you are still quite young, a circle will not accept you yet. If you have the blessing of your parents, then learn the basics, how to meditate(it'll help with up and coming exams too), get crystals- learn the feel of them, if you see a stone or a pebble and it looks beautiful to you, then cherish it. Look at the people around you, not a glance but really look, your parents, friends even strangers and remember always, ' AS IT HARM NONE, SO LET IT BE'- that is the Wiccan Crede, and that should always be your mantra. You are on the begining of a beautiful path, I only hope that you continue. My best wishes for you my little sister Blessings Be.x
