Hello everyone

A quick question:

I'm not a wicca or pagan but I do use crystals and spells/affirmations during difficult times.

Recently, I had to leave my job because it was affecting my emotional well being. Although, I've gone to the GP about this etc and now feel a lot better, there are, however, still times when I find it difficult to deal with certain people (e.g. if they are criticising me or are difficult to communicate with-when dealing with stupid sales people, for instance). When this happens and I feel angry or upset, I say the following:

All acts of negativity, I return to thee, 3 times 3 and throw my hands over my shoulders (I imagine that this is the negative energy, I'm throwing off me-as people throw rice over their shoulders at a wedding for luck) and I feel better. I did this one day because it just 'felt right'. However, I know that this is not the full version of a 'mirror' spell that I've read, but my own version. of it

My question is, is it ok for me to do this or will I harm anyone or find that this spell won't work properly by not saying the full spell that I read?

Thanks very much for your reply! It was very reassuring! I admit that when upset/angry, part of me does want the other person to 'pay' for what they've done but when doing the spell (or any kind of affirmation etc I use), my intention is always to return the harm or aggravation and calm myself down, rather than to wish that God (or substitute the name for whatever else you believe in-I say God because I'm a deist) would strike them dead with a thunderbolt! As appealing and amusing as this notion is to me when feeling particularly emotional, I realise that this would achieve nothing, not even to make me feel better if this actually happened (I would actually feel guilty if it did as the thought of another human being suffering is anathema to me, unless the person in question has done something truly awful to another human or animal, such as murder which was done with intent to cause unnecessary suffering).
