Greetings, Lexie, I apologise for not attempting to answer your question sooner, but I admit I am not quite certain what you seek. I am assuming that you wish to dispell the attachment you have for a new (?) person, or perhaps you wish to find a way to protect yourself against impending hurt which you may experience.
My first piece of advice would be that if you are on speaking terms with this person, and you can be assured that you will not be ridiculed, then gently test the waters to find out how they feel about you, and let them know that you would like to take the relationship from friendship to something more. If this is someone that you have worshipped from afar, and don't really know on a personal level, I would be wary. Concentrate on yourself, your friends, and family, and try not to pine for something that may never be.
Secondly, regarding spells, you may choose to proceed with a protection spell, or a spell to try to resolve a negative situation. However, the spell on its own will not be enough to help - I fear that you need to strengthen yourself and your willpower to avoid these situations - easier said than done, admittedly.
Please remember, that for any spellwork to be successful, you need to have the strength and energy within yourself to help it work, and also to reinforce it in the mundane world.
