Merry Meet, everyone, I wish to call upon you for assistance if I may, as I have unfortunately had to take time off from work due to a severe and debilitating bout of dizziness. I have had this condition for a number of years, and the neurologist has put it down to nerve damage caused by a virus, but what I would wish to know is if anyone knows of any healing spells or invocations that may speed my recovery and help me to cope better at work with the symptoms- my workplace colleagues are very sympathetic, but I hate for them to feel that they have to keep helping me when they are so busy themselves- I have had this acute episode of dizziness since Christmas eve, and although it is improving, progress is slow. Please help! BB x

On the mundain side, flaxseed oil is excellent, as is vit. B12. My husband had strokes in both his eyes within a month of each other last May and they didn't hold out much on his chances of improvement. A friend on my own forum who suffers with MS told me about them (she takes them) they are supposed to help nerve damage and help protect damaging further. Well, guess what, he had a visual fields in December 2010 and he is now allowed to drive again!!! I can't recommend these highly enough, go for it, you have nothing to loose, just be positive and think of it as another 'lil' helper along with any spells. I shall send you healing too. Good luck www.livingspirits.co.uk

Many thanks, Dark Angel, for your kind advice, I shall be sure to obtain some as soon as possible, I'm desparate for anything which will help to alleviate these symptoms. It's heartening to hear that your husband improved so much, I certainly hope that he continues to keep better health, and also yourself, I recall you mentioned that you suffered a degree of debility. Brightest Blessings, x

Brightest Blessings, x Thanks, I do indeed, in fact, thinking of taking them myself to see if they help with my FM. Take the full doze for a month, then cut it down to 2 morning, 2 evening and see how you go along. www.livingspirits.co.uk

Many thanks, both Dark Angel and UltravioletAngel, for your kind thoughts- I shall be able to head out tomorrow for the B12, and whilst I have resigned myself over the years to the fact that there is no cure, something to make the symptoms a little less would be very much appreciated, although I always find that other people get more upset by seeing me debilitated than I seem to get by actually being debilitated! I'm just grateful that my condition is not caused by anything more serious, as they were investigating for things like tumours, multiple sclerosis etc., so really I have so much to be thankful for in life, and Wicca is teaching me to be patient and to cope much better with this than I ever did before. I'm sorry to hear you're ill, Lady Lustre! Unfortunately I know nothing about the medical/physical side of things here, so I bow to the knowledge of Dark Angel!
I've found a lovely looking spell in Kate West's "The Real Witches' Book of Spells and Rituals", it needs 3 lilac candles and holders, and lavender essential oil, and is performed in the bathroom :)
Run a comfortably warm bath and add 10 drops of the oil. Place the candles around the bath and add them. If possible, immerse yourself completely (or as near to completely as you safely/practically can) 3 times. Whilst in the water make your take-away request of the Goddess and God (in this case, to ease your symptoms and enable you to deal more easily with them at work) and visualise your ill health draining away into the water. Then make a positive request (ie, to bring you good health) and enjoy the rest of your bath!
Perhaps, as yours is a fainting condition, working more with the element of Earth could help? In as much as keeping you grounded and earthed. Logic says that would help with the dizziness, which I at least would associate with air!
Also, with your permission, I'd like to light a candle for you and send healing strength as part of my rites during the Full Moon today.

Thank you so much, Althara, for the spell- I don't have any Kate West books yet, I am very grateful to you for your effort. I shall try the spell tonight, before celebrating the Full Moon Esbat! And yes, I give you full permission to include me in your thoughts tonight as you celebrate also- I shall certainly be sending blessings to each and every one of you! @ Dark Angel-I have commenced the vit B12, so grateful thanks to you for your kind advice. MM all
Another good type for nerve issues is St John's Wort, it is safe enough to be taken for a while and maybe also look at SJW and arnica as homeopathic remedies, take the gel/tincture on the area of hurt and take SJW internally?

Merry Meet, Arianrhod, and many thanks for your kind suggestions, I have heard of St Johns Wort being used for depression, and many people have found it effective, so I'll definitely bear it in mind. I do get very down when I'm off work, as I hate to feel so useless, I know when I'm at work I can make a difference for the better, for the patients that I see. No one ever leaves my room looking glum! Again, many thanks, BBx

Merry Meet Lady Lustre
If you look at the signature of the SJWs wart itself it is showing you that it helps to let in more light into people's lives and perhaps for depression, maybe a flower essence of it would be beneficial as F. E. work more on the emotions.
Just another handy hint for you ;)

Many thanks, Arianrhod, it's so good to know that I can get so many ideas from this forum, obviously GPs and medics in general, just try to treat the symptoms, but there are always other facets to any illness. Advice from people who like to think 'outside the box' is always worth listening to. BBx
