Hello again Emerald Dee, I am aware that the elements correspond to direction/colour as follows- Fire South red Water West blue Earth North green Air East yellow although I tend to replace the colours with what I believe to be Celtic correspondences which are South white West grey North black East red which is supposed to represent the position of the Sun in the sky. The wall plaques may be best placed according to your own preference, I think I would have them somewhere that I could see them easily to remind me of the majesty of the Sun and Moon, or perhaps you could place them with a specific direction in mind such as Sun-East for the rising of the Sun, and the Moon in the North for direction of Goddess worship? My own Green Man plaque I have inside my front door where I feel he helps to protect my home and family, and he's the first thing I see to welcome me home as I enter my house! Blessed Be x

Hi emerald dee, I'm so glad you are getting all your bits and pieces together. The main thing is that you enjoy what you are doing and it feels right for you. lady lustre is right on which diections/colours for the elements. As for the wall plaques i also think that is a personal preferance. I have a green man plaque on the outside wall just above my backdoor, i feel it's the right place for mine becase he is looking out onto my garden but i feel he is also giving protection to my home as a guardian. My sun and moon plaque is also on the ouside wall, but at the front of my house next to my front door. Simply because i love to see it when i go out i look at it when i am locking up. And it's the first thing i see when i come home. It just comforts me to know that when i walk in my house both entrancies are looked over by symbols that represent my beliefs. And the beauty of it is that people who come to visit that do not know of my chosen path or those i have chosen not to tell just think they are pretty ornaments. I do hope i have helped a bit, if only to let you know that you are not alone. It can be a long and sometimes frustrating path, but as i have said before just go with what feels right for you. Blessesd be

My green man is on my fence out the back, facing my nasty neighbours, so I feel protected. For the quarters (elements) you can use anything really, dragons, wolves, candles, or the basic stone for earth, feather for air, red crystal or candle for fire and seashells or water for west. It all just a matter of what you fancy really and a compass is an excellent idea, I have two, one for home, one for my forest www.livingspirits.co.uk

Hello everyone, I feel we are all agreed that personal preference is paramount when when deciding what to use, I think if feels right ,then go with it- instinct is a great guide, we should listen to it more! I think that if you feel comfortable with what you use, then it all works better- and its great to have so many ideas from everyone! Blessed Be x
