I am quite new to wicca but for ages I have found myself massively drawn to dragons and I was just wondering if anyone knows if it symbolises anything. Blessed be

Just be a little careful, as dragons can be, well, let's say a bit tetchy, especially the fire dragon. The best to work with, so I have been told is the water dragon. www.livingspirits.co.uk

gardener wrote:Dragons feature in all my books and lately in my dreams. Is it a sign of being deceased soon I dislike death omens. So many times they're bull, and just intended to frighten people. Like here. Dragon mythology is rich. Just a quick glance at Wiki will show you how much research there is to be done on dragons! Sometimes evil, sometimes good. I'd start with researching Dragons from your locality, then move on to ones from your pantheon, then generally. In fact, maybe I'll be studying dragons a little more ;) But I'd have no fear of Dragons being omens of death. My friend and I were visited by what we're pretty sure was the Earth Dragon, and here I am still standing more than 4 years later. ;) Also, I dream of Skysong quite a lot. She's a dragon... Surely I'd be dead by now if they were omens of death ;)

Think of it like one door closing, another opening. I cannot think of one instance where something like this means the actual death of a person/animal. etc. it just a metaphore to help you understand in terms you can relate to, I have found. www.livingspirits.co.uk

Greetings to all, sadly I have only a little information from Eileen Holland, who states that in Eastern thinking, dragons can be indicators of prosperity, but in Celtic tradition, they may portend chaos, so it's down to what you believe in and how you wish to interpret it. I think that it would be unlikely to indicate a future death, maybe a little difficulty on the road ahead, but nothing that can't be overcome with support. Dragons may be powerful and fearsome, but even they need to slumber and rest. BBx
