Hello,

I'm 13 and have just started researching wicca. I have no idea how to get started on learning more about it because I don't know any wiccans and I'm young of course (even if I hate to admit it haha) I live in West Yorkshire.

Does anyone have any advice on how to begin?

Hi,

I think the best advice, if you can't find any other pagans in your area (and I suggest you look as hard as you can, witchvox.com is a good place to start, look at their teen and adult listings) is to read, read, read!!

The best books for beginners are by Kate West and Doreen Valiente, they'll give you a modern and more traditional view on wicca, especially as Doreenv Valiente is considered one of the founders, with Gerald Gardner of modern Wicca

Thank you thats alot of help, but I'm not sure that I would be allowed to see other pagans :/

Any other advice is appreciated :)

I would agree with Howler. I think the Kate West books would be best to start with. She's easy to read but tells you quite a bit. Also just talking to others on here might help. Problem is there doesn't always seem to be a lot of folk on at any one time.
Try research online. The internet is a wonderful tool.

You could also get yourself some books written by solitaries, I found them the best for me, here are a few :

Hearth Witch - Anna Franklin
Cottage Witchcraft - Jan McDonald

Druidcraft - Phillip Carr Gomm (this one is a mix of Druidry and the craft)

All are easy to follow so you won't have a problem.
