Merry Meet All

I have recently just found out I am pregnant and I am wondering if anyone has any tips on which types of insence or candles would be best meditating with and also any herbal remedes for keeping healthy during pregnancy?

I have quite a stressful job and really need to be able to come home and rid myself of all the negative energy and stress of the day but not so sure on the best way to do it.

Blessed Be x

Congratulations Little Doll! So glad to hear your happy news BigGrin Start taking Folic Acid, if you don't take it already; it's a big help to baby's nervous system and helps prevent birth defects, and it's recommended you take it every day - 400 microgram dose! There are also special antenatal vits designed for pregnancy, I'd recommend those too.

Regarding ingesting herbal remedies, I'd say stay safe and don't. Or check with a qualified herbalist if you're considering using anything you wouldn't normally use in food. Having said that, though, ginger tea is meant to be great for morning sickness! Be extra careful and extra safe. With regard to essential oils, again I'd say don't use them directly on your skin. Evaporating safe oils like lavender and lemon in a burner is fine, but don't use them on your skin or in the bath.

As for de-stressing at the end of the day, I'd say a nice long hot bath, some tranquil music (search for the "pure" range - I can vouch for Pure Serenity as having very relaxing music!

Congrats again, and blessed be! )0(

BigGrin Many congratulations, Little Doll! Such happy news, I am thrilled for you!
I absolutely agree with all that Althara advises, consult a qualified herbalist prior to using any herbal preparation, although many herbal/fruit tes are delicious, and soothing to drink, the kind you can get in the supermarket are fine. Do not buy loose teas from market vendors and the like, anything could be in them.
Folic acid is essential for your baby's wellbeing, also try to gain iron from dietary sources, such as red meat, lentils, cress, beans, and green veg- better to get it from diet if you can, the body will absorb it more efficiently. If you must take iron supplements, swallow them with orange juice, as the citric acid will aid absorption.
I would not recommend using incense in pregnancy, as the smoke can increase your carbon monoxide level significantly, this replaces oxygen in the bloodstream and is detrimental to the baby in a similar fashion to smoking ( although minus the 4,000 chemicals contained in cigarettes!)
As Althara recommends, relaxing music is good, I myself love Medwynn Goodalls' Perfect Sleep- I haven't heard the end of the cd, so it definitely works!!
All in all, enjoy your pregnancy, keep active and well as best you can, and if you have any concerns whatsoever do not hesitate to contact your midwife, she is there to look after you!

Prompt, reasonable shipping time! Really love my order, I ordered a charm but am using it as a pendant as I was looking for something small & delicate. Thanks for the lovely item & reasonable shipping time so I didn't have to wait for Weeks for my order. Thanks!

Having recieved my order from you today I would like to offer very positive feedback. It is for my daughters birthday (which I ordered late and didn't expect it to arrive in time) on Sunday so I am really pleased how fast you sent it out. The packaging was great and the pentegram met more than my expectations. I have just ordered another one for my Grandaughter and will definately be recommending you to my friends. Many thanks
