Hi all,
could anyone tell me how can EPO be used for PMS or weight reduction?
Many thanks!

I take capsules of the oil for pms. They're pretty big though, but the strength I take is usually effective even on my crazy hormones xD

Thanks, I'm gonna give it a try! And what about for weight reduction? Would you just take the capsules for that too, with obviously a healthy diet/exercise? I've searched the internet, found lots of sites saying it is good to take for these things but not saying HOW it helps.

I am a herbalist as well
It depends on what you want to use for weight loss, non-mucous diets or what? I would need to know more (unless you don't need it)
As for the EPO, I often find borage (starflower) is a better alternative as it is stronger than the EPO, so you need less and sometimes it is good taking it as a tincture!

Hello Arianhod,
I am trying to lose weight (and keep it off! - no 'quick fixes'). If I were to take evening primrose oil capsules would that work? And also I was wondering how it works, is it an appetite surpressant or does it speed up metabolism, or something else?
Many thanks :)

For losing weight, I recommend using a sprinkle of chilli power to speed up metabolism and I have also heard having citrus fruits can help as well (also having a balanced and organic diet - I feel some foods have hormones which may wreck havoc with people's weight also)
Bright blessings Beckyboo and sorry for the delay!

Greetings Arianrhod,
Many thanks for your reply! That's useful information. I'm (slowly!!) but surely losing weight haha...getting back on track now after the holidays. My doctor was going to prescribe me Orlistat but I don't like the sound of it at all, hence searching for herbal alternatives. I've got two dogs with bundles of energy so I'm trying to do my fair share of walking them more often rather than leaving it to someone else at home :D
Thanks again,
BB

Another good tip also instead of perhaps using chilli all the time, use ginger as it has a longer effect and it doesn't "burn out" as quickly as chilli.
All these different little things you pick up as they go along and plenty of doggy walks also.
