The ends of my nails keep flaking off. I've tried all sorts of things but nothing works - any ideas?

Eat one square of jelly twice a day and your nails will be strong in no time at all. If you like jelly made up eat that too but the squares straight from the packet will work.

Soak nails in rose water for five minutes dry gently but thoroughly with a nice fluffy towel ( a rough towel is more likely to snag any ends. File your nails, but remember to do it in one direction only, going back and forth with the file may shave a few seconds off filing, but will cause more long term damage by weakening nails. Apply a heavy duty hand cream and massage into cuticles. Apply a nail strenghtening varnish twice a day (Sally Hanson and Avon are ones to watch)for a fortnight and you should have beautiful nails.

I WORK IN A NAIL BAR, AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT A GOOD CUTICAL OIL WILL WORK, AFTER A LITTLE TIME OF COURSE BigGrin

What if you are diabetic and cannot eat jelly squares. Will the sugar free powders do?

Hi,

I found that rubbing Vitamin E mixed in a small amount of sweet almond oil worked. I've had no troubles since I started doing this once a month.

(Oh and Gardner to answer your question I can imagine the sugar free powders would work, but they are normally still filled with way too high a glucose level for a diabetic to eat without dissolving them in a high volume of water)
