This is a long shot, but does anyone know of a Charge of the God written by Doreen Valiente?

I've found about 4 different versions of God Charges, but I don't know if any were actually written by Valiente.

Sadly, I don't have any books by Doreen Valiente, and I think the best bet would be to look in Witchcraft for Tomorrow and The Charge of the Goddess (book).

if anyone can help then it'd be greatly appreciated, but I'm guessing Valiente never wrote one (there isn't one in the Gardnerian or Alexandrian BsoS, so it's not a good sign Sad

hello Howler...

I have a piece of text which I have known as the Charge of the God, and it goes under the title *Song of Amergin*. I will reproduce it for you..whilst it is probably not strictly the correct version, I do think it is rather beautiful and totally apt...

I am the Wind of the Sea
I am the Wave of the Sea
I am the Sound of the Sea
I am the Stag of Seven Tines
I am the Hawk upon the Cliff
I am the Ray of the Sun
I am the Fairest among Flowers
I am the Savage Boar in Valour
I am the Lake upon the Plain
I am the Hill of Poetry
I am the Spear Point in Battle
I am the God who kindles the fires within
Who, but I, can make know the Secrets of the Unhewn Dolmain?
Who, but I, can make know the ages of the Moon?
Who, but I, can show the Secrets of the Resting Sun?

(Considered by some to be Christian text, but now believed to date back to 600BC or earlier; some ascribe to druidic text, but no hard evidence for this)
