Indeed, a siddhi or 'Magickal power'- A Wizard of 35 yrs inner plane experienc/working, does suggest contemplating that; the premonition will be most accurate in a two day period of vision, unless the event is of such spiritual magnitude, that it casts a light, as it were, from, say, a year ahead:- In a year, many energies, may, or may not be woven into the overall destiny, whereas, in two days time, the forces of what will be, are already, concrete.
As one rises to a greater Spitual alignment with One's Holy Guardian Angel; Atman, whatever your term for The True Soul, A Star, One will skry the future more easily, for One's Angel does exist on 'The Edge of Time' as it were.
