hi
i am trying to get more accociated with the goddess and thought about doing a small ritual or something on every full moon. any ideas? all welcome and much appreciated.

Hi

A full moon ritual is a good time to practice basics such as circle casting and calling the quaters etc etc.

As for ritual, the full moon is a good time to perform spells. But if you don't have a spell that you want to do then you can spend the time meditating on the Goddess, what she means to you, how she looks to you, what her personality's like basically getting to know her as if she was someone you were getting to know and essentially become friends with her.

Maybe a prayer of thanks? I'm sure only a few wiccans pray, stickig only to spells and rituals lol! But praying is a good way of talking to the Goddess and giving her thanks.

Maybe charge and devote a candle to her and the full moon and light it each month in honour of her

Perhaps if you're looking for something a bit more formal, then design your own ritual of honour and thanks. The best rituals are ones we design ourselves as they come from the heart and will call to the Goddess more than one from a book designed by someone else.

yes, thankyou your ideas are really helpfull. but i just checked on this website when the next full moon is, and its saturday. i go to lanzarote thursday (cant wait lol!!!), so could i still do a prayer even though it wont be a full moon out there? or wait for the next one when i get home. many thx!

hi applerose it will be a full moon in the canaries on saturday when you get there you wont have to change your watch either they are in the same time zone as the uk hope Iv helped lillyx have a nice holiday)0(

you can pray to the Goddess when ever you want! She's always there for us

If it is your intent to worship the full moon and give thanks to the Goddess, even if it's a day of two after or not even a full moon you still can, The Goddess knows that that is what you're praying for.
