Hi, I'm going for surgery soon and am a little apprehensive. I've never had surgery before and was wondering if anyone could recommend a way to keep calm about it? Also is there anything I can do to help me through the surgery? It's minor but I am scared....

Hello, it is a natural to feel a little apprehensive before surgery.

Just remember that you will be in good hands during and after the surgery, what I would recommend is that you mentally switch off by having deep thoughts about something or somebody that you really love or like.

From what you say you will be awake during the surgery so the medical staff will do their best put you at ease, as the last thing they want is an anxious patient.

I have had a series of operations to fix a shattered ankle along with the physioterrorism (physiotherapy) that went with them so I know how you feel.

Also ask the Goddess to watch over you, she will not let you come to any harm.
