Perfumed oils were once the province of only the very elite. Today they are available to everyone. Essential oils have been used since early man, not only for their therapeutic properties, but also for the unique plant energy captured within the concentrated oil. These concentrated oils have found their place in the modern world for the sheer versatility of them. Blended with carrier oils they can be used for massage, bathing, anointing pulse points, or simply for the wonderful fragrance some of them have. Essential oils such as eucalyptus and camphor are often added to the well of an oil burner and gently heated to help relieve blocked sinuses and ease the congested symptoms of colds. Rosemary is a wonderful oil to drop onto a tissue and carry with you when you need to be awake and alert. Just sniff the tissue and feel your senses come alive.
