Our site is driven by a state of the art eCommerce engine (developed by our parent company CometX). We have tried to organise ranges of products so you can find what you need easily and quickly.
Here are the key elements you might like to know about.
- The top menu bars give access to the various shopping areas and as each area is entered, you will see the Product Groups List in the left hand menu panel changes to reflect what is in the particular area. We try to keep lists as short as possible because experience and research has shown that this works best for most people.
- The top menu also has some generic navigation which allows you fast access to contact information, Registration areas and if you are a logged in user, to your portal where you will find order history and status of any current orders. There is also a Customer specific news panel containing advanced information which anonymous users don't get.
- On the left hand navigation menu, if you click a link you'll be taken to a list of all products in that group. NOTE: the list is paged so don't get inundated with too much information in one screen. Just click the relevant page numbers at the top or bottom of the list to navigate between pages.
- The product listings show immediately whether an item is in stock and how much it costs. There is a thumbnail photograph so you can see what's inside. Click on, the thumbnail, the Product Title or the Info/Buy button to see more detailed information on the product. We try to give detailed descriptions so you are not misled and often include multiple photographs to give you confidence in your purchase. Clicking any of the thumbnail images will result in a much bigger image being displayed.
- Often, a product has several variants (maybe different colours, styles, types etc). Where that is the case, the detail page will show each variant, its cost and whether we have stock (we usually have).
- Our eCommerce engine monitors stock to prevent disappointment so for example if you try to order 5 of an item, and we only have 4 in stock, only 4 will be added to your basket, and you will be told that this has happened. Once your order has been placed, stock levels are automatically adjusted and in the above case anyone else viewing the same product would then see that it was out of stock. We have found that this is the best approach and ensures our customers get the best service possible.
- On the right hand side of most significant pages you'll see an InfoPage Menu. This contains links to our dynamic content management area where we have provided articles on various subjects, as well as access to key information like Policy statements, Help and the like. This area is constantly being updated so browse often.
- If you like our site or a particular page you can send a link to a friend by using the facility in the left hand menu panel. Just fill in you friends email address, and your name and they'll receive an email with a hyperlink to the page you selected. We'd don't record your friends email address, so they will not get unsolicited email from us as a result (that would be illegal in the UK in any case).
- The final thing which may be useful to you is a search facility. Click the link in the top menu bar to use this to find products anywhere on the site.
NB: Unlike some suppliers, we do not use drop shippers to give you the false impression that we stock many thousands of products we don't actually have. Our site shows what we actually have in our warehouse. If you see an item on our site and it is shown as 'In Stock', then we have it. If you order an item (and our system doesn't let you order things we don't have in stock, to avoid disappointment), you will get it very quickly - often next working day.
