Love Spell
Venus, the Roman Goddess of Love, rules a Friday. This spell has been designed to finish on a Friday to draw on her power and add potency to your work.
With this spell, the pink candle represent you, the white candle represents your potential partner, soul mate, friend etc. Keeping
in mind the rule of 'freewill', don't use this spell to attract a
particular person - what's right for you may not be right for
them, and they should be free to make their own choices, not have it
forced on them. The object is to attract a person with the
traits you are looking for, into your life. It may be the person you
hanker after, but more often that not it will come from an unexpected direction :)
You will need:
1 x pink candle
1 x white candle
2 candle holders
1 x pink piece paper
Pen/pencil
Optional:
Needle for inscribing candle
Anointing Oil - Come to Me or something similar
Grain incense including rose petals, or rose fragranced sticks or cones.
Getting Started:
Give some thought to the characteristics you would like in a partner - it may be tolerance, kindness, must like dogs or children, have endless patience, like the great outdoors etc.
When you have settled on the traits you are looking for, you're ready to begin. Don't be impatient, this spell is best performed on a waxing moon (you want to attract something to you), and started on a Wednesday so that it is completed on a Friday.
Inscribe the white candle with a selection of the traits you seek (optional) and anoint with oil (optional). Set up your Altar with the pink candle at the back on the left, and the white candle at the back on the right. Write a list of the traits you seek on the pink paper. Light both the candles, Light your incense (if you are using it) and holding your list in your hands, close your eyes and relax. Imagine yourself with the faceless stranger, you're engaged in deep conversation, laughing and blissfully happy. take it further by imagining the pair of you engaged in some activity you like - walking thorough a forest, on the beach, canoeing, sky diving - whatever. when you can hold the image in your mind no more, open your eyes and carefully slide the piece of paper underneath the white candle and recite:
'In starlit nights and sunlit days
where magic does abound
I send this wish into the Universe
so my partner may be found.'
'Bring them ever closer
reveal to me their face
guide my hand and guide my heart
Let destiny slip into place'.
Allow the candles to burn a third-way down and extinguish them.
The following night, take your list from underneath the candle, move the two candles closer to each other. Re-light the candles, re-read your list and repeat the process of conjuring up the image. Slip the paper back under the white candle, and recite the verse again. Allow the candles to burn down a further third of their original length and then extinguish them.
On the Third Night (Friday), move both of the candles so they are next to each other. Light your candles and incense, read your list again, visualise again, repeat the verse but add 'And it harm none - So Mote it Be' at the end.
Place the piece of paper underneath both of the candles. Allow the candles to burn out naturally. Once they are cooled, gather
up any residual wax, dab a little of your oil onto the paper (if you are using it), and place both in a pouch, small box etc and carry with you.
BE AWARE of any opportunities that present themselves to you. It may be an invitation you wouldn't normally accept, it may be
someone behind you in a queue, it may be fate throws you together with the 'boy/girl next door'. It will probably come from an unexpected direction, so keep an eye out for it, and take advantage of anything fate delivers to you:)
