Essential Oils are very potent stimulants and in most cases should never be used neat on your skin. There are some notable exceptions such as Tea Tree oil but in general, you should dilute any essential oil using some form of carrier (Sweet Almond, Evening Primrose, Coconut, Jojoba, Grapeseed,Wheatgerm and others).
Once diluted, the oil is generally safe to use but beware any contra indications which we publish on our product pages - eg. some oild should not be used if you are pregnant or a nursing mum.
Aromatherapy is very beneficial just excercise some caution when you are experimenting or try new things for the first time.
